F1 | McLaren, Ricciardo: “I'm missing a couple of tenths”

Fourteenth position for Daniel Ricciardo, who in the second free practice session at Le Castellet was unable to replicate the good things he did in the morning. The weather conditions probably affected the Australian driver's work, given that in the morning he classified sixth, but there is optimism in view of the rest of the weekend. There is certainly work to be done, but the expectations for the former Red Bull are higher than his recent performances which were certainly not exciting.

“The first day is over, it was very hot – Ricciardo said. In the morning things seemed to be going in such a way as to be optimistic, the start of practice was good, while in the second session we were not as competitive. I don't fully understand why, but we'll look into it all tonight. Overall it wasn't bad, we're all very close. We're probably missing a couple of tenths right now. That said, I'm not worried, we'll work on it tonight. In general the feeling is positive, so we will try to find a little more rhythm for tomorrow."
