F1 | McLaren, Piastri crashes out in qualifying in Brazil
The Australian will start from the fifth row on Sunday: "I don't know what happened but it's a real shame"
He's certainly disappointed Oscar piastri for the result of the qualifications in Brazil. La McLaren of the young driver it seemed he could obtain a good placing, but the bad weather and the strong wind arrived on the track Interlagos at the beginning of Q3 they upset the plans of some, and among these there was also the Australian, who was unable to keep control of his MCL60 before the climb to the pits, ending up in a spin and therefore on meadows, ruining among other things the lap Perez, clearly in an involuntary manner. Therefore on Sunday the good Oscar will have to recover from tenth position.
“In the end I ranked tenth in qualifying at Interlagos – Piastri said. Q3, obviously, didn't go very well for us, especially as the session ended early due to bad weather. I'm not sure what really happened with that loss of grip, but I struggled a lot, which is a real shame because I had great pace. Things seemed to be going well up to that point, but anyway, we'll try again on Saturday, we'll see what we can do in the Sprint Race."
