The excellent performances shown at this start of the championship could push Lando Norris to ask for a contract adjustment for what concerns the future.

According to what was reported by the Sun newspaper, in fact, the Englishman would be ready to ask for a salary change from the Woking team, which should modify the nineteen-year-old's contract from the current 500 thousand pounds to a budget close to 3 million euros.

The goal of the Birtannian, obviously, would be to secure a multi-year contract under totally different economic conditions, an aspect that would transform him from a simple talent to a reference driver for what concerns the future of McLaren.

The proposal, as reported by the Sun, would be under examination by Zak Brown, who could make a decision on the matter in the coming weeks.

“It would be nice to have a future here for many years,” said Lando Norris in Le Castellet. “I'm happy at McLaren and I know that everyone here has a plan for the next few years. This is all very positive and the changes made recently are working well."

“I'm happy with all this,” he added. "I don't know, I'm saying that I wouldn't have fun with other teams, but the situation here is pleasant and I have an excellent relationship with Carlos."
