F1 | McLaren, Lando Norris: “The red flag ruined my race”

Unlucky race for Lando Norris, who finds himself in the group of penalized by the first - and useless - red flag. The British driver, seventh at the start, immediately regains a position against Esteban Ocon, but the team immediately calls him back to the pits with the Safety Car caused by Mick Schumacher's accident. Lando rejoins in fourteenth position and the red flag ruins his race. At the third start he lost positions again, slipping to sixteenth, but Norris did not lose heart and made his way to the points zone, where he stopped in tenth position. Unkind result towards the Briton and McLaren.

"A truly unfortunate day. I think we deserved more – Lando simply said – the team did a great job and I rode well. but the red flag changed everything and ruined any chance of a good result, we were just unlucky. It was a long race. I am disappointed. The positive side is that at least we gained a point, but we deserved more".
