F1 | McLaren, James Key downplays Mercedes engine problems

In recent days Hywel Thomas, supervisor of the Mercedes power unit project, had raised the alarm about the Star's engines. However, McLaren technical director James Key intervened on the topic and yesterday, during the presentation of the new MCL35M, clarified the issue by stating that the Woking team had no problems on the bench with the Star's engine.

"I'm sure everything will be ready for the first race – declared Key – We did extensive dynamic testing and had no issues. Mercedes can probably answer the question about any problems in more detail, but we haven't had any".
