The quarantine has also affected those who are part of the world of Formula 1. The choice to go to Australia and try to take part in the first race of the year, in the end, turned out to be very wrong, and some members of the paddock unfortunately contracted the Coronavirus. Among these also a McLaren employee, now in isolation in Melbourne, while his condition seems to be improving. They remained in Australia other people on the team too, but at the moment there are no other cases in the Woking stable. Carlos Sainz this afternoon wanted to send a message both to his team and to the Formula 1 fans.

“I feel great at the moment, but that doesn't mean I'm not infected or that I can't develop symptoms in the next few days – Sainz said on his profile Twitter. For everyone's sake it is very important to be responsible and follow the guidelines of the experts. I'm trying to organize my life these days, obviously I'm a bit bored, but I imagine everyone who is doing the same thing at the moment is a bit bored. At the same time I'm trying to do some sport, I try to keep busy and do things I would never do."

Then the message to McLaren: “I wanted to send my support to all the people who remained there in Australia, a big hug to them, because I am sure that we will get out of this quarantine as soon as possible, and as soon as we are done, we will go back to work. Once the virus is defeated, we will go back to racing, I can't wait and I miss it. I want to go back to traveling with the team, we have to overcome all this as soon as possible, and to do that we have to stay at home in quarantine."
