Fernando Alonso will not take to the track with the MCL34 in the next pre-season test session on the Barcelona track. Contrary to the rumors that have circulated in recent weeks, in fact, the Spaniard will not take the new car from the Woking team into his hands, leaving all the development work to Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz.
According to what was declared by the AS newspaper, however, the two-time World Champion will still be present at Montmelò for the second session and will support the officials in the work of interpreting the data. An important coatching role with which McLaren hopes to immediately direct the development of the new single-seater.
The MCL34, we remember, will be presented today at 13.00 pm inside the McLaren Technology Center in Woking.
