F1 | McLaren confirms Jost Capito's departure

Big changes continue at home McLaren. After numerous rumors had swirled in recent weeks, confirmation of his departure has arrived Jost capito.

Having arrived at McLaren just four months ago after great successes at Volkswagen, Capito had become the new CEO of the English team. A sensational farewell that adds to the equally noisy one of Ron Dennis and the decisive name change for the 2017 car.

A team spokesperson confirmed this to GMM: “Unfortunately we have not been able to find common ground with Jost regarding what is and will be necessary to bring the team to success again.”

“We have therefore agreed – he continues – that he will leave McLaren Racing to consider other opportunities. We wish him success in his future endeavors."
