F1 | McLaren, Boullier: “In France our attention will be placed first and foremost on reliability”

Through the columns of the official website of McLarenthe sporting director Eric boullier he projected himself towards the French Grand Prix, eighth round of the 2018 Formula 1 World Championship.

THE EMOTION OF PAUL RICARD - “I am happy and proud to return to Paul Ricard as Formula 1 returns to host a Grand Prix for the first time in almost thirty years. I'm sure the facilities will be considered among the best of any circuit we visit. The organizers should be very satisfied with what has been done to re-establish this circuit which holds so many memories for a lot of people. Furthermore, welcoming Formula 1 to another Grand Prix in a European venue with such a rich heritage as France is a real pleasure. I hope it will prove to be another great destination for fans.".

RELIABILITY FIRST - “It will certainly be a challenging and exciting track for engineers and drivers. Our focus must be on reliability first and foremost after our recent spate of recalls. We have worked hard to understand our performance problems in Canada and we hope that in France we can provide a more representative show on track.".

HONEY WORDS FOR ALONSO - “Finally, on behalf of everyone at McLaren, I would like to congratulate Fernando on his fantastic victory at Le Mans. He showed his talent and mental strength during what we know was an exceptionally tough race. We all cheered him when he lifted the trophy. We know he's been on his bucket list for a while now. It's another incredible achievement to add to the record books.".
