F1 | McLaren, Andreas Seidl: “Everything can change in just one weekend”

It's an important moment for McLaren: the Woking team is currently in fourth position in the constructors' standings. The advantage over Renault is only 33 points and this last part of the championship will be fundamental to maintain this advantage.

Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris, both returning from a good weekend in Russia (they finished 6th and 8th respectively) are ready to give their all on the Suzuka track too.

Andreas Seidl, McLaren team principal, knows that it will not be easy to maintain this advantage: everything can change in the space of a weekend.

"Although we head to Suzuka with a greater lead over our mid-table competitors in the constructors' championship, we are aware that we still have work to do to consolidate our position. Competition for these positions is intense and can change over the course of a single weekend. For our part, we must focus on keeping the battle in our hands and to do so we must maximize our performance on and off the track".
