F1 | McLaren and Google confirm partnership for the 2024 season

F1 McLaren Google – With a press release published this morning, McLaren and Google confirmed the extension of the partnership launched at the start of the 2022 Formula 1 season. The US brand, present on the car with the Android and Chrome logos, will continue to appear on the MCL38 of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, eager to battle at the top after the excellent results of last year. At the same time, the use of Google Pixels in the car was expanded, i.e. the multi-function screens for sponsors (big news last year), and of AI and 5G systems both inside the garage and in the factory.

McLaren will also use Google products in the factory

“The partnership will continue to make the best of Google products and technology available to McLaren Racing. McLaren will use 5G-enabled Android devices and the Chrome browser across its operations, both on track and at the McLaren Technology Centre, to help the team operate more effectively and boost performance."

Google Pixels confirmed on the MCL38

“The expansion of the agreement will see a greater presence of Pixels in the car. Additionally, McLaren will leverage Cloud AI technologies to help visualize race data and provide insights across the team. The teams will also collaborate to use artificial intelligence to make processes more efficient and optimize resources, continuing to focus on innovation to gain a competitive advantage.”
