Fernando Alonso found in Zak Brown a real point of reference within the Formula 1 Circus. The 46-year-old from Los Angeles, executive director of the McLaren, has always looked at the two-time world champion with special attention: last year he gave him the opportunity to compete in the Indianapolis 500 and at the end of January it will be repeated, giving the go-ahead for the Spaniard to participate in the 24 Hours of Daytona, together with United Autosports, the team owned by Brown himself.
Because of these "concessions", and not only that, an idyllic relationship was born between the two: “He is a truly unique boss, he has a very broad vision of Motorsport, he is a commercial genius" – said Alonso in reference to Brown. “He has helped McLaren a lot over the last two years, and now he not only helps McLaren, but motorsport in general. I completely share his vision: he's not only my boss, he's also a friend. I think he's doing great things for the sport."
