F1 | McLaren, Alonso returns to tease Honda: “Better than in the past? Melbourne said otherwise”

At the end of the last Australian Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso returned to talk about the Honda situation, underlining how the first GP of the season has not changed the cards on the table compared to last year. Toro Rosso, in fact, he placed Brendon Hartley in last position, while Pierre Gasly was forced to retire due to a problem at the MGUH. McLaren, on the other hand, she managed to finish the race without any kind of problem, placing both cars in the points. According to the Spanish, therefore, Honda was unable to bring any improvements to the track compared to the past, struggling in terms of performance and reliability.

Here are the words of Fernando Alonso: "It's funny that some people think Honda is clearly superior to the past why he left McLaren. They also said the same thing when I left Ferrari. I look at the Melbourne standings, though, and I see a Toro Rosso Honda in last place with the other car withdrawn due to mechanical problems.
