F1 | McLaren, Alonso promotes papaya orange: "It's part of our DNA"

Fernando Alonso vote “yes” to a historic return of the livery orange papaya. Interviewed by Motorsport.com, the Spanish driver promoted the hypothesis of a 2018 McLaren in line with the car Indy car with whom he took part in last year's Indianapolis 500: “I haven't seen next year's livery yet. I'll be happy with any color, but orange is part of our DNA, so it would be nice to see some orange like in IndyCar. That was a great event and a great car.".

Speaking of Indy Car, Alonso reiterated that he will not participate in the 500 Indianapolis 2018, in order to concentrate all his energies on the debut year of the pairing McLaren-Renault: “It was a fantastic experience and I would love to repeat it. In 2018 it won't be possible, as I will be in Munich (engaged in Formula 1, ed.)". From a future perspective, however: “Once I'm not involved in Formula 1, I'd like to try again, so that I can still enjoy such a special moment. Whether it will be in 2019, I don't know, but I will do my best to return.".
