F1 | McLaren in points with Ricciardo and Norris for the second time this season

McLaren returned to the points with both drivers in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. For the second time this season, after Melbourne, the Woking team placed both Ricciardo and Norris in the top ten. This coincides with the two good performances of the Australian driver, finally a little more comfortable with the car and able to move the classification with a position that is still not optimal, but certainly positive compared to the seasonal trend.

“Given the starting positions and the weekend's performances, we are happy to leave Baku with six points more in the standings – said Andreas Seidl, McLaren team principal. Daniel and Lando worked together with the team to maximize what was possible. We knew before the race that with our speed deficit we couldn't do more, it was complicated to pass Alonso, and therefore we couldn't do more. We will continue to work to understand the car and see how we can optimize it further in view of Montreal."
