F1 | Max Verstappen elected “Driver of the Day” of the Brazilian GP
This is the seventh recognition of the season for the Dutchman
Max Verstappen has been awarded as driver of the day of the Mexican Grand Prix, the twentieth and penultimate round of the 2019 Formula One World Championship of the season.
The Dutchman from Red Bull he received 22,2% of the preferences, ahead of his teammate Alex Albon (13.8%), Charles Leclerc (12.8%), Carlos Sainz (11.7%) and Pierre Gasly (7.1%) in this special ranking.
Verstappen thus closed a weekend that saw him prevail since yesterday, where he took pole position, underlining his superiority also in the race with the decisive overtaking (lap 60) against Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes after the first neutralization of the race caused by the retirement of Valtteri Bottas.
Today's is the seventh championship recognition for the driver Red Bull after those obtained at Montmeló, Montecarlo, Spielberg, Hockenheim, Hungaroring and Mexico City.
