F1 | Massa: “Alonso's return? Only if he can win”

After the official announcements from Ferrari and McLaren on Sainz and Ricciardo, the one taking center stage is the future of Fernando Alonso. The two-time World Champion could in fact take the Australian's place in Renault, with the help of Liberty Media regarding the payment of the salary.

Doubts hover around the real competitiveness possibilities that the French team could guarantee to the former Ferrari and McLaren man. An aspect reiterated by his former teammate Felipe Massa, who told Carousel Deportivo: "I think Fernando wants to return to racing in F1, which he most likely lacks." 

“But I don't think he would be happy to do it in a non-competitive team with no chance of winning. We have to wait and see which team will give him the opportunity to come back the way he wants" concluded the Brazilian.
