F1 | Massa: “I don't see any big changes compared to fifteen years ago”

Felipe Massa he is one of the veterans of this formula 1: Since 2002, the year he began competing, the Brazilian has witnessed firsthand the constant evolution of the sport. “When I started racing in Formula 1 – says the Brazilian CEO Motorsport - overtaking was very difficult, DRS didn't yet exist and we all complained. But now nothing has changed. Compared to the past there are different cars, but the mentality, the way of driving, the way of getting the best out of the car, in the end it is always the same. There are just different types of cars, different rules, different tires, different engines but to be a Formula 1 driver, you have to be the best and you have to make the most of the car. It's always been like this, from when I started until now.".

According to the former Ferrari driver, therefore, compared to fifteen years ago the world has not changed, on the contrary: “If I think about this season I don't see any substantial changes. Maybe in the past the teams spent even more money than today, but the gap between the best teams and the worst teams was huge, as it is now. I hope that Formula 1 will make some in the future progress – concludes the Williams driver – because up until now I haven't seen any big news".
