F1 | Massa confirms his farewell to Formula One
He will greet the Sao Paulo public at the next Interlagos weekend
With a post published on social media, Felipe Massa confirmed that he will hang up his helmet at the end of the season, ending (this time definitively) his career in Formula One. A retirement that appears quite forced, given that the Brazilian has repeatedly pushed Williams to renew his contract.
Paddy Lowe and Claire Williams, however, want to focus on other profiles, starting a project that does not take into consideration the presence of the Paulista driver, present at Grove since the 2014 season. Precisely in this sense it will be interesting to understand who will support Stroll in 2018: at the moment Kubica seems the chosen one, but Daniil Kvyat's prices are rising rapidly. Massa will say goodbye to the public in Sao Paulo next weekend, finishing where he was World Champion for a few meters in 2008. All we can do is wish the best to a driver who, with strengths and weaknesses, has written an important page in the history of Formula One.
