In a chat given to the columns of the "Corriere dello Sport", Felipe Massa he returned to talk about the recent separation between Mattia binotto , Scuderia Ferrari, specifying how the epilogue of this story had already been written for several months, probably even before the official announcement arrived in December.

According to the former Ferrari and Williams driver, a situation of total confusion reigned in Maranello and this, combined with the poor results obtained by the drivers in 2022, led the management to launch a new technical and sporting guide for the immediate future. A difficult choice, certainly, but an obligatory one considering the "many" situations that arose during the past season.

“The change at the top of Ferrari was needed,” said the Brazilian driver. “It was clear that a situation of confusion reigned inside. Unfortunately in these cases the farewell of the Team Principal is a normal decision. Mattia is a very good and talented coach, but the result that everyone expected did not arrive and therefore his exit was not a surprise."
