F1 | Marko stings Renault on the supplier issue: "I don't understand their rush"

In an interview given to some Austrian columns, Helmut Marko spoke about the situation linked to the Red Bull supplier for 2018, underlining how within the Milton Keynes team there is a real evaluation of the events after the last Canadian GP. Red Bull, we remember, is deciding whether to accept the renewal proposal put forward by Renault or whether to focus on the potential of Honda, already a partner with regards to Toro Rosso.

Marko, since the future of the team is at stake, did not quite understand the words released by Cyril Abiteboul a few days ago (We would not keep the negotiation open if the decision is moved to Austria.ed), highlighting how a couple of weeks doesn't really make a difference in 2019 planning. The Austrian asked for patience and expects to resolve this situation over the next week.

Here are the words of Helmut Marko: “We are evaluating all the situations on our table and I don't understand the position taken by Renault after Canada. We're playing the future and whether it's France or Austria, we're talking about a couple of weeks. I don't understand why it's so important to do something like this in a hurry."
