F1 | Marko denies Ricciardo ultimatum

On the 2025 Red Bull line-up: "Tsunoda must improve to deserve his place"

F1 | Marko denies Ricciardo ultimatum

Dr Helmut Marko has denied the New Zealand rumors (which we reported yesterday , here) according to which Daniel Ricciardo would have been given a two-race ultimatum to improve his performances otherwise he would have been fired before the Miami GP. Interviewed by German sources, the Austrian however pointed out that the RB driver is not currently strong enough to deserve promotion to Red Bull.

“We have to wait and see, each driver sees the other's data so there are no secrets. They have the same car, Daniel has shown in the past that he is a fast driver, so it's something on a mental level."

Red Bull will still take some time before confirming the 2025 line-up:

“The decision on next year's line-up has been postponed until the summer. Tsunoda must improve even more if he can be considered."
