F1 | Marko: “Ferrari will entrust the leadership of the team to one of his men”
The strongest name, precisely in this sense, is that of Benedetto Vigna
Interviewed by the German press, Helmut Marko did not want to say too much about the figure who will replace Mattia Binotto as Team Principal in Ferrari, highlighting how the Red team, in defiance of the rumors that have circulated in recent weeks, could choose a man already present within the team staff.
The strongest name, precisely in this sense, is that of Benedetto Vigna, current CEO of Cavallino. The manager from Potenza, CEO at Maranello since 1 September last year, would like to "get closer" to the track and has already asked the current president, John Elkann, for leadership of the sports department.
“It's difficult to answer the question of who will go to Ferrari in Mattia Binotto's place,” said the Austrian from Red Bull. “I can imagine that management will give the job to one of his men.”
