F1 | Marchionne: “Vettel is a Ferrari man”

After the outburst in Monza, Sergio Marchionne he spent honeyed words for Sebastian Vettel. The president of Ferrari, speaking at Sky Sports, returned to the renewal of the German: “The only thing we discussed was the length of the contract: two or three year agreement. I think he's happy here, I've always said this. I told him he was free to sign whenever he wanted" – declared Marchionne. “I have always complimented him on his ability to make good economic deals, like all drivers of his caliber. I am envious!" – the Ferrari number one also jokingly stated.

If Vettel and the Ferrari team managed to get back into the fight for a World Championship this year, it is also thanks to the maturity of the German, always lucid on and off the track. The difficult 2016 spent by Cavallino, in this sense, had a positive influence on Vettel's mind: “I really like Seb, I think he has matured a lot, even though he has already been world champion four times. Especially in the last year he has matured a lot" – said Marchionne. "He's a Ferrari man, one of those things you have in your blood".
