KFC ready to reopen negotiations to save the team

F1 | Manor ready to skip the first three Grands Prix of the 2017 season?

According to what some sources across the Channel report, Manor could skip the first three GPs of the next 2017 season. The receivership regime imposed by the current owners is blocking the construction of the new single-seater, but if the negotiation with the group led by KFC goes through, Manor could choose to skip the Australian, Chinese and Bahrain GPs to show up in Russia to his full potential. The single-seater, in fact, would still be in the midst of its development, without considering that the English Scuderia, at the moment, does not have a line-up with which to present itself at the starting line of the next world championship.

Skipping three events, let's remember, imposes nothing from a financial point of view and would allow Manor to save its license to race in Formula One. A plan similar to the one implemented by Caterham at the end of the 2013 season, when, immersed in debt, the English team decided to skip the Grands Prix in South America and ask fans for help through "crowdfunding".

The entire plan is linked to the success of the negotiation with the Asian group. We just have to wait and see if the small English team will be able to show up at the starting line of the next Formula One world championship.
