F1 | Magnussen: “The relationship with Grosjean is as it should be”

They won't become best friends but at least they will try to collaborate for the good of the team. This is what emerges from recent statements by Kevin Magnussen on his relationship with his new teammate Romain Grosjean.

Over the years the two have always been criticized for never managing to establish a good relationship with their respective teammates. Only time will tell if this happens too Haas the music will repeat.

“The most important thing is to beat him – Magnussen told the Danish newspaper BT – because it is important to beat every teammate. For now the relationship between us is as it should be. We must of course be open and work to bring the team to the top but also have the freedom to compete against each other. We don't have to be best friends, but that doesn't mean we're against each other, not at all."

The comparison with the relationship that was created at the time with is immediate Jenson Button: “I remember that there were many who thought that Jenson had helped me a lot in 2014, but in reality he hadn't done anything specific – clarified Magnussen – there are some comrades who deliberately try to cheat you with incorrect information but Jenson doesn't he did it and I have great respect for that.”

Hence the hope for the future together with Grosjean: "I don't know Romain well yet, but I expect that our relationship will be a bit like the one with Jenson."
