F1 | Magnussen warns Vandoorne: “he must not be selfish but will have to learn from Alonso”

Kevin Magnussen wanted to give some advice to Stoffel vandoorne for its debut in formula 1: abandoning his leading and at times very selfish character, as he demonstrated in the first part of his career, is one of the main things to do in order to adapt to the circus. Furthermore, Vandoorne must take advantage of this great opportunity to learn from the vast experience of Fernando Alonso, which will be his teammate for the season.

Magnussen also fears that Vandoorne's past successes could undermine the climate in the team, leading to internal conflict: “Stoffel was born to win, but now he has to collaborate with his partner”, Magnussen said.

Stoffel, for his part, seems to want to start with his feet on the ground: “I don't expect anything from the relationship between me and Fernando. I've always been close to him and Button on the circuit and tried to learn the best of both, but I have my own style.", he recently explained in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

But Magnussen wanted to insist again on the Belgian's future: “He's going to fight against one of the best in Formula 1. He comes from GP2, he also did Super Formula, he's someone who wants to win and knows he's a bit 'selfish' in the way he works”, continued the Danish driver.
