F1 | Magnussen: “We lost a lot of pace and I can't explain why”
"Suddenly I had no grip in qualifying without having really changed anything"
di Fabiola Granier13 July 2019

Kevin Magnussen will start from 16th position in the Silverstone race, after being beaten by Perez in Q1 by just 13 thousandths of a second. The Danish driver did not make the cut for Q1, once again demonstrating Haas' difficulties in qualifying.
“I'm frustrated with the lack of pace. It's not that we looked very strong, but at least we were watching the mid-table teams closely. We lost a lot of pace and I can't explain why. Suddenly I had no grip in qualifying without really having changed anything. We made some changes, but it didn't help. Must be something related to tire choice again, I suppose, but it's hard to explain. This weekend we are trying to learn from the difficulties, it is still frustrating,” commented Magnussen
