F1 | Lowe: “Losing to Rosberg gave Hamilton motivation”

According to the former executive director of the Mercedes, the defeat in 2016 gave the Englishman an incentive to be even stronger.

Lewis Hamilton e Nico Rosberg they gave rise to a rivalry that lasted three years and even if the German retired two years ago, in the very year in which he became world champion, that rivalry continues to exist.

He has become a very difficult driver to beat and Sebastian has shown it, there have been losses in all sorts of areas, but also as a driver, I think Lewis has outclassed Sebastian. There was an unequal clash, also in terms of work. One team played better than the other from start to finish. But on top of it all you have Lewis who is just a phenomenal driver. I think he will be seen as one of the greatest in the sport in due time. It's difficult to compare across eras but it has to end up on the fingers of one of the best riders in that category, in the top 5.".
