In recent months the brand Porsche has been repeatedly compared to Formula 1. In the wake of this rapprochement, the newspaper Motorsport.com he created the hypothetical livery of a Formula 1 Porsche, sparking the euphoria of fans and enthusiasts, bewitched by a possible return of the Stuttgart manufacturer (the last presence dates back to the 1991 season with the Footwork team).
The German car manufacturer's desire to reappear in the top category for open-wheel cars is no mystery. The idea would be to present yourself as engine supplier (therefore without setting up a real team), perhaps from 2021, when the new engine rules come into force.
