A meeting has been called with teams and engineers to establish the guidelines for 2021

F1 | Liberty Media ready to close the regulations issue before the next Silverstone GP

According to what was reported by Auto Motor Und Sport, Liberty Media would have scheduled a meeting with all the teams and the FIA before the next British Grand Prix for the implementation of the regulations relating to the 2021 season. To date, in fact, there are no written regulations which the teams can rely on for the initial development of the single-seaters, a factor that has created quite a stir within the paddock, especially among the engine engineers.

The meeting should take place during these hours (some even talk about yesterday evening) and there should be communications to this effect soon. Liberty's objective, in any case, is quite clear: to find a meeting point with all the parties involved regarding the layout of future power units.

Here are Toto Wolff's words on the subject: “I hope that with the next meeting we will have a much clearer idea of the situation. There is a very different overall vision between each team and this causes slowdowns. We would like the engine to be the protagonist, while other teams focus on the chassis and aerodynamics. Instead, I believe that the only way for the future is transparency."

“As a team we need to know what will happen in 2021 and we would like to avoid rushing everything. This, in fact, would cause a sudden influx of costs", he added.
