F1 | Liberty Media, Carey: “Never suggested a calendar consisting of twenty-five races”

Liberty Media's goal is not twenty-five races in the season, according to Chase Carey. Speaking on the calendar issue, the current "Super Boss" of the circus underlined how the objective of the new management is to enhance the events on the calendar, making them real "Super Bowl" style weekends. Carey also admitted that Miami and New York are on the list for a Grand Prix, but in this case they would be events "unrelated" to the calendar of twenty-one races.

Here are the words of Chase Carey: “We have never suggested a 25-race calendar. We have discussed it, including the possibility of an additional race in Miami or New York, but twenty-five races is not a possible solution at the moment. We want to enhance the races already on the calendar, making them great events."
