F1 | Lewis Hamilton elected "Driver of the Day" of the Belgian GP
The Englishman, winner at Spa, is his first recognition of the season as "driver of the day"
At the end of an almost perfect weekend, marked by pole and victory, Lewis Hamilton was nominated driver of the day of the Belgian Grand Prix, twelfth round of the 2017 Formula One World Championship, first after the summer break.
An absolutely deserved recognition, the first of the season, from the Englishman from Mercedes who - despite the pit stop waltz - has always maintained the lead in the Spa race.
With today's success, the 58th achieved at the end of the 200th race of his career, Hamilton has halved the gap in the world championship standings that separates him from Sebastian Vettel from 14 to 7 points.
