F1 | Leclerc on his relationship with Vettel: “I learned a lot from him”
"We are mature enough to be able to work together," added the Monegasque
Interviewed by the press during the Autosport International Show, Charles Leclerc spoke about the relationship with Sebastian Vettel, his teammate at Ferrari, underlining how the German is a real point of reference within the team.
Thanks to the German's experience and way of working, in fact, Charles has managed to smooth out some of the limitations exposed at the beginning of last season, significantly improving not only his performance on the track, but also his relationship with the team.
“I learned a lot from Seb,” said Charles Leclerc. “He is professional and pays close attention to every single detail, as well as being a very nice person. We worked well together. Obviously we had some special moments on the track and we hope that things like those that happened in Brazil don't happen again. In any case I think we are mature enough to work together. We want to develop the car in the right way."
On his relationship with Vettel he added: “I learned from the way he works and I think I can still learn many things. It goes into great detail, as I said, and delves into topics that I never thought would be useful to engineers. Sometimes I stop and listen for an hour to what he has to say about the session. It's very, very interesting."
