F1 | Leclerc: “Positive to be back on the podium” [VIDEO]

Charles Leclerc finished the Sochi Grand Prix in third position. His is the only Ferrari that crossed the finish line after Sebastian Vettel's SF90 stopped. The Monegasque, after the podium, specified that there is no problem with the team regarding the decision not to play any team game.

“Our pace was constant, it's positive to be back on the podium but it's a shame for the team that the second car didn't get here. For our part it was a positive race, Mercedes continues to be very fast in the race pace, much faster than in qualifying. So we have to try to work on this, to try to understand and improve for the next races."

“We have to talk in the team but the strategy was to give him the slipstream to be in first and second place at the end of the straight, which happened. I need to speak to the team to try to clarify the situation. We had the pace to beat Valtteri but it was too complicated to follow him, as soon as I got close, there was overheating and it was a very difficult moment for us. After the safety car, third place was the best position that could be achieved."
