F1 | Leclerc: “The best moment of the season? Arrivabene's call to join Ferrari"

Next will be the season of the big leap for Charles Leclerc. In fact, the Monegasque, after a year of apprenticeship (more than positive) in Alfa Romeo Sauber, was promoted to Ferrari alongside Sebastian Vettel, thus taking the place of Kimi Raikkonen.

Leclerc, in an interview given to motorsport-magazin.com, retraced the key moment of this year: “Most likely the call from Maurizio Arrivabene announcing my move to Ferrari. It's something I will always remember. About moments on the track? Hard to say, but the battles with Fernando Alonso taught me a lot about racing".

Leclerc, on the identikit regarding the top driver, declared: “The best is the one who drives to the limit, that's all that matters and how long you can do it. That's why I always think about myself and never about others, thus trying to get the most".

Taking stock of his first season in Formula One he admitted: “I'm quite happy, except for the first three races, but clearly I can do better".

Speaking about his character he said: “I prefer to always say what I think, sometimes I seem too direct with the media but this is my personality".
