F1 | Leclerc disappointed: "Far from the Mercedes, tomorrow will be tough"

Charles Leclerc will start in fifth position tomorrow in the Barcelona GP, after a complicated qualifying and certainly below Ferrari's expectations. The Monegasque has in fact admitted his mistake in Q2 (the mechanics had to take action given the damage to the SF90) and in general the difficulties of the Red Team on this Spanish Saturday. Tomorrow it will be difficult for Leclerc and Vettel to get close to the Mercedes who also showed their superiority this weekend.

“We are far from the two Mercedes. Yesterday wasn't a good day, we suffered with the balance of the car and today everything was very difficult,” commented Leclerc. Then, commenting on his mistake: “The mistake isn't that serious, but the consequences were more so. I wanted to push the accelerator a little more and attack the curb. However, I didn't think I would break any components by going a little wide."

Ferrari is far from Mercedes and tomorrow they will have to really give their all to try to recover and finish at least on the podium: “Unfortunately it went like this, tomorrow we have to do better. It will certainly be difficult to try to catch the Mercedes,” he concluded.
