F1 | Leclerc and Bottas returned to Monte Carlo during the week
One of the current rules of the anti-Covid protocol was violated, but the two pilots are calm and above all negative for the virus
Valtteri Bottas e Charles Leclerc, during this week they decided to return to Montecarlo to spend a couple of days at home, leaving the so-called bubble that there formula 1 he wanted to create to avoid contact with the world outside the paddock as much as possible. The two pilots, therefore, have in fact violated one of the most important rules of the new anti-Covid protocol, but both believe they are in the right, having evidently also received reassurances in this regard.
“I found out that it was allowed to leave the paddock, so I did – Bottas said to RaceFans.net. It doesn't make much difference, since I stayed with the same people in the same bubble, whether it's here in Austria or in Munich, so I decided to return home, since we are in Europe anyway and traveling doesn't involve making long journeys. I just wanted to spend three days at home, I thought it was the best thing to recharge the batteries, so I think it was the best decision as far as I'm concerned. From a safety point of view it makes no difference: I'm always with the same people!”.
“I was tested twice before returning – Leclerc admitted. So in two days, two tests, obviously negative. That's all: I went home for two days and then I took these tests to make sure they were negative, nothing more."
