F1 | The victories achieved by Sebastian Vettel in Ferrari

Let's retrace the 10 triumphs achieved by the four-time world champion driving the Red, the last of which came last Sunday in Bahrain

F1 | The victories achieved by Sebastian Vettel in Ferrari

With the victory, his second of the season, achieved on Sunday night in Sakhir, Sebastian Vettel reached 10 victories for Ferrari.

The German achieved his first triumph aboard a red car in 2015 at the end of the Malaysian Grand Prix, an edition in which he managed to prevail over the Mercedes Hamilton-Rosberg duo thanks also to a single-seater - the SF15-T - which in that circumstance manages to handle the Pirelli tires better than the Silver Arrows. A note that allows Maranello to return to savor the joy of the top step of the podium after almost two years of abstinence. The back-and-forth in the final radio team between Riccardo Adami, the German's track engineer, and Vettel himself was memorable: “Number one is back, top class! Ferrari is back” (Adami); “You hear me, you hear me! Thank you so much guys, go Ferrari!” (Vettel).

Despite the 2015 season smiling at Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton, who took victories in their respective world championship rankings, Vettel managed to obtain two more successes. The second in the Hungaroing basin, dedicated to the memory of Jules Bianchi, who passed away a few weeks earlier, and the third on the night in Singapore where it sealed a perfect weekend also seasoned with pole position.

2016 is a difficult year with few joys for Vettel and Ferrari, who end the season without any successes. Ready to go, however, 2017 opens precisely in the name of the Red and the German winning in Melbourne's Albert Park.

The Cavallino and its standard bearer remain in the running for the title until the Asian triptych (Singapore, Malaysia, Japan), where the triple accident with Raikkonen and Verstappen at the start of the Marina Bay race and the technical problems suffered in Sepang and Suzuka cause the decline every dream and iridescent hope. However, the season was positive, closing with 5 successes. Among which those in Monaco (which broke a streak of victories in the Principality that had lasted for Ferrari since 2001) and Budapest where, escorted by a great Kimi Raikkonen, Vettel managed to win despite a steering problem, deserve mention.

Recent history, however, is the last two triumphs achieved at the end of March in Melbourne and in Sakhir a few days ago, where once again Vettel's crystalline talent, author of spectacular tire management (39 laps on the softs!), made the difference.
