F1 | Grid penalties remain unchanged
Hakkinen: "Today's penalties are unfair"
di Jessica Cortellazzi15 September 2017
After the grand prix of Monza, the fans and some professionals harshly criticized the fact that the starting grid had almost completely been reversed, after the numerous penalties that were given.
“Today, penalties have reached another level and are unfair to drivers”, commented Mika Hakkinen.
However, Car engine and sport, reported that when the teams met with the FIA to discuss the probable revision of the penalty system, the proposals were set aside.
“It's been like this for years and it's always gone well - declared the team manager Force India Andy Stevenson- what happened in Monza was a coincidence".
For the moment therefore there will be no change to the penalty system by the FIA, but rather a clarification.
