F1 | The Roll of Honour of the Constructors' World Championship updated to 2024

F1 - The Constructors' World Championship, established in 1958, is the highest recognition for teams that have been able to combine technical ability, innovation and strategy. This title rewards not only the drivers, but also the work of engineers and technicians who contribute to success on the track.

Vanwall was the first team to win the championship, marking the beginning of a new era. In the 60s, Ferrari, Lotus and Cooper stood out for their ingenuity and ability to adapt to a changing landscape. Brabham's contribution was particularly notable, revolutionising car design with pioneering solutions, leading its founder, Jack Brabham, to triumph as both a driver and a constructor.

McLaren breaks Red Bull dominance

The 70s and 80s saw the emergence of new players such as Tyrrell, McLaren and Williams. These teams, often supported by top-tier motorsport partners such as Honda and Renault, introduced ground-breaking technologies, from carbon-fibre chassis to turbocharged engines. Ferrari continued to be a constant presence, alternating with other top teams.

The start of the new millennium was marked by the dominance of the Maranello team, which won six consecutive titles thanks to a combination of reliability, strategy and talent. Subsequently, Red Bull redefined the competition, using an innovative approach both in terms of aerodynamics and in race management.

With the introduction of hybrid power units, Mercedes has imposed almost absolute control for seven consecutive seasons, pushing the boundaries of engineering and quickly adapting to increasingly complex regulations. In recent years, Red Bull has regained the lead, demonstrating that innovation and teamwork remain key to success. The same qualities that led McLaren to obtain the top award this year, after a drought that had lasted since 1998, at the end of a season lived blow for blow with Ferrari and that was resolved only in the final round of the season in Abu Dhabi.
