F1 | Mercedes has announced the launch date of the 2017 single-seater

La Mercedes is the second team (after the Ferrari) to announce the presentation of its 2017 car, the Brackley team will in fact unveil the new car on February 23rd Silverstone.

The reigning world champion team will therefore present its W08 before Ferrari which has set the presentation of the new single-seater for February 24th in Fiorano.

As is known, 2017 will be the year of the new rules and consequently all the teams want to test the single-seaters on track with shakedowns before the pre-season tests in Barcelona which this year will start on February 27th.

In fact, the German team will use the day to carry out a filming day at Silverstone (which presumably Ferrari will also do at Fiorano).

Despite the announcement of the new car, Mercedes has yet to confirm its driver line-up for next year, as an agreement with the Williams for Valtteri Bottas who has been the favorite to replace for weeks now Nico Rosberg alongside Lewis Hamilton.

The Stuttgart team also started a competition for fans to be present at the launch event.
