F1 | Kvyat: “Sainz must keep his distance”

After the contact, the Russian driver stated that his teammate should keep his distance from him in the initial stages of the race.

“If you put yourself in that spot you know that 90% contact is inevitable. He just stood there and said 'ok, you can come on me', that's what I think. We should both be responsible for what happened.".

The Russian added that the penalty was too severe: “The punishment was given because I left the track and entered in a dangerous way but I didn't exit, the team agrees with me. I was really angry when I received the news, these are competitions and not dance".
