In a chat given to the columns of motorsport.com, Daniil Kvyat took stock of his season in Toro Rosso, underlining how the results obtained were absolutely positive.

Despite his lack of experience with the Honda engine and the year of forced absence from the Circus, in fact, Kvyat achieved a series of excellent results aboard the STR14, even achieving a podium in the German Grand Prix.

Important objectives, also underlined by Helmut Marko himself, which allowed him to earn the renewal for the 2020 season too.

“I'm happy with what I did in 2019,” said the Alpha Tauri team driver. “It was a good season for the team, probably the best ever".

On the relegation experienced by Pierre Gasly he added: “I think all the riders who have passed through this team are very talented. Someone was unlucky with the timing, like me at Red Bull for example. All this sometimes works for or against a driver. You have to be patient, keep working and hope to be in the right place at the right time."

“Gasly is the living proof of how one can re-emerge, even after a heavy failure”, he concluded.
