F1 | Kubica over the moon: “It's great to be back in a Formula One”

115 laps and the belief that he can still fit into a Formula One car: the day of testing in Valencia was a real success for Robert Kubica. The Pole completed the entire work program planned on the E20, collecting various information on his physical state and his competitiveness inside an F1 single-seater. Kubica did not suffer any physical problems with his arm, performing many laps and demonstrating, surprisingly, that he can still be competitive. Renault has not disclosed any data regarding the Pole's "best time", but, according to some information from within the team, the comparison with Sergey Sirotkin (who took to the track the previous day) seems to have gone quite well.

Here are the words of Robert Kubica: “I would like to thank everyone for making this test possible in Valencia. Maybe someone may have remembered something about my way of driving in 2010 and I must say that the day was beautiful. Emotionally it was amazing. Six years have passed since the last test with a Formula One and in this period I have been through some really difficult times. However, I continued to work hard and until a few years ago a day like this was unthinkable. I'm experiencing mixed emotions, but I'm proud of what I accomplished today. I don't know what the future will bring me, but I want to take all the good things from today: after working for more than a year to prepare for this test, I lapped with a good pace despite the difficult conditions."
