F1 | In France four Formula 1 races will be free-to-air
For the past five years the Pay-TV channel Canal+ has enjoyed exclusive rights to broadcast F1
The fans and enthusiasts of formula 1 in France they will have the opportunity to watch sports in TV free next year after F1 itself has reached an agreement with the broadcaster TF1. Next season France will officially return to the calendar for the first time since 2008 with the circuit of Paul ricard which will host the GP French. And in one fell swoop the new owners of Formula 1 Liberty Medium they worked and immediately closed an agreement with TF1 TV to broadcast four live GPs, including the French race.
“The agreement will begin at the start of the 2018 championship,” he said, “TF1 will show four exclusive Formula 1 GPs completely free in their entirety. The French Grand Prix is finally returning to the Formula 1 calendar next year and this event will be fully covered live as part of the provision, as well as the Monaco GP. Formula 1 will be broadcast on the Group's channels TF1: “This contract marks the return of free-to-air F1 to the TF1 television channel, a long-standing partner of the sport. It is part of our strategy to broadcast world-class international sporting events,” he said Gilles Pélisson, President and CEO TF1. “The whole group will mobilize to ensure that Formula 1 gets maximum visibility.
