F1 | The Bahrain GP renews Stefano Domenicali's satisfaction until 2036

With a note released this morning, Formula 1 has made official the extension of the contract with the Bahrain Grand Prix until 2036, a maxi agreement which will therefore see the Middle Eastern track as a protagonist for at least the next 15 years. This year too, the Sakhir track will be the first to host a Formula 1 weekend, the first of the new regulatory era.

“I am happy with this agreement reached with Bahrain until 2036 – said Stefano Domenicali, president of Formula 1. Since 2004 Sakhir has hosted fantastic competitions and we are eager to return for the start of this season, ushering in a new era for our sport. Bahrain was the first Middle Eastern country to host Formula 1 and is a very special place. I would like to personally thank His Royal Highness Prince Salman and his team for their dedication and hard work during this collaboration, many years of racing await us."

We are happy to have made this commitment, aimed at consolidating our presence in the calendar also in the future.
