F1 | Hamilton's future will not be in Maranello: “Going to Ferrari? He's not my goal."

Who hoped for a future passage of Lewis Hamilton At Ferrari's court he will be disappointed. In fact, the Englishman, interviewed by the Swiss newspaper Blick, ruled out the possibility of ending his career with the red Cavallino tracksuit despite having not closed the door to this scenario in the past.

"For many drivers, Ferrari is the ultimate career dream. I have been part of the Mercedes family since I was 13 and I don't think this will change – Hamilton admitted -. A possible transfer for me to Maranello? I would not say. I have no doubt that I could change some things for the better there. But that's not my goal".

At the end of 2012 Hamilton left McLaren to move to Mercedes. With the Stella team he has won four titles so far, awaiting the fifth which will arrive at the end of this season and which will allow him to be one less than Michael Schumacher's record of seven world championships.

"It took six years to make Mercedes a winning team and keep them at the top. We now have an atmosphere full of love, appreciation, admiration and respect. I left the second most important team in history for a team with fewer people and almost no success. I wanted to build something new. But I really don't want to do it again”, underlined the five-time world champion.

Still remaining on the subject of Ferrari, Hamilton did not want to express his point of view on the current driver hierarchy in force in Maranello: “I don't really want to say publicly what I think about the situation. But you probably don't hear it (Vettel, ed.) great since a new strong guy is next to him. Ferrari has always had the number 1-number 2 policy and I don't agree with that. When I arrived at Mercedes I said I didn't want to be number 1, I just wanted the same means and opportunities as my teammate. I knew if I worked harder and did a better job, I would win. That's what I still think todayi ".
