F1 | Hulkenberg: “Montreal Week is one of the best times of the year”

This is undoubtedly one of the most awaited moments for many drivers. With all its charm the Canadian GP it is in all respects one of the most anticipated tracks of the year, as difficult as it is loved by the public and the teams.

In home Renault there is cautious optimism ahead of next weekend's race, with Nico Hulkenberg ready to demonstrate the maximum potential of his and his car: “Canada is a great race weekend. I love the circuit, the city and the atmosphere. The track is a nice combination between a street and street circuit and a racing track. Montreal Week is always one of the best times of the year.”

The technical unknowns for the race will be numerous for a circuit that will put many aspects to the test: “It is one of the most difficult circuits for the brakes and the final chicane can be a problem. You can waste a lot of time if you approach it badly. Overtaking is always difficult but the final corner will be the best opportunity."

There are also doubts about the strategies, especially regarding the choice of tyres: "As regards the tyres, there will be some aggressive strategies to try, we'll see what we can do."

The best thing, as usual, will be the general atmosphere: “Canada loves Formula 1, the whole city embraces us and the local fans always give us a very warm welcome”.
