F1 | Hulkenberg rocket strikes: "Frustrating for Alonso and Leclerc, but also for me"

At the start of the Spa Grand Prix he seemed to be bowling and not on a Formula 1 circuit. Hulkenberg forgets how to brake, gets stuck with the tires in fourth gear and violently hits Alonso who flies towards Leclerc, luckily the Halo prevents the McLaren from falling disastrously onto the Monegasque's head. In the accident, Fernando's car takes away Daniel Ricciardo's rear wing, which in turn hits Raikkonen, causing a puncture, damage to the floor and retirement. In short, a disaster.

Interviewed by Sky Sport, Nico Hulkenberg commented on the very violent bang: “No technical problem, it's truly incredible to see on lap 1 how sensitive these cars are. If there are cars in front of you you lose a lot of grip and when I braked the front wheel locked and I slid into Fernando Alonso. An error of judgment probably on my part, I braked too late, and it is certainly frustrating for him and for Charler Leclerc, but also for me", he immediately specified when speaking of the two drivers.

Then on the damage also to Ricciardo and Kimi Raikkonen: "I haven't seen if it affected anyone else, certainly for Fernando and Charles who were at risk for what happened so we'll see what action is taken", concluded the Red Bull driver.
